COVID Update

Two more cases of COVID-19 in Northern Health, 102 in B.C.

VICTORIA—Two additional cases of COVID-19 in Northern Health for a total of 324 since the start of the pandemic.

Provincially there are 102 new cases, including one epi-linked case, totalling 9,841 cases in B.C.

Cases by health region:

• Vancouver Coastal Health: 3,612
• Fraser Health: 5,038
• Island Health: 221
• Interior Health: 556
• Northern Health: 324
• People who reside outside of Canada: 90

There were two new deaths related to COVID-19 for a provincial total of 244. Currently, 71 people are in hospital, 16 of those are in ICU. 1,384 cases are active across B.C., and 3,089 people are under public health monitoring.

No new health-care facility outbreaks were reported, there are 19 active outbreaks in the health care system. No new community outbreaks were reported either.

Yesterday, B.C.’s Provincial Health Officer said that we were once again beginning to flatten the curve in our Province, attributing it to the work that all British Columbians are doing to reduce the spread of COVID-19.

She also reminded British Columbians that the actions we take this Thanksgiving weekend will shape how our Province will fare heading deeper into the fall and winter months, and upcoming holiday season.

8,184 people have recovered from COVID-19 in B.C.
