FORT ST. JOHN—RCMP in Fort St. John are hoping that the public can help identify a good samaritan who helped a victim being assaulted in their home in September of 2000.

RCMP say that the victim who was living in an apartment building on 99th Ave. in Fort St. John, was physically assaulted in their apartment. During the attack the victim through a chair at the window, breaking it and yelling for help. That is when the good samaritan came down from the second floor and chased the suspect away, stopping the assault.

“It is possible this man may have witnessed the assault and may hold evidence to support the investigation.”—Cst. Patricia Tulloch, Serious Crimes Section Fort St John RCMP

RCMP say their efforts to find the good samaritan have been unsuccessful. Police say the man would have been a tenant at the apartment building in September 2000 or was possibly visiting someone who lived there.
