Snowfall warning issued for Pine Pass

PRINCE GEORGE – Environment Canada has issued a snowfall warning for Highway 97 north of Prince George.

Between 10 and 20 centimetres is expected to fall mainly this evening with the system shifting north into the morning hours.

Environment Canada says a warm front ahead of an approaching Pacific low-pressure system is to blame for snow that will fall heavy at times.

Total snowfall accumulations will range from 15 to 20 cm for the Williston region and Pine Pass and 10 to 15 cm for the BC Peace.

Drivers are asked to be prepared to adjust with changing road conditions. Visibility may be suddenly reduced at times in heavy snow.
