The Prince George Spruce Kings welcomed a pair of new faces to the ice this week.

Connor Bowie and Aiden Reeves have been loaned by the Prince George Cougars to the Kings until December 20, and both players are thrilled to get going with the squad.

“I think it’s really good mentally and physically,” explained Bowie to CKPG.

“It’s great skating again and then mentally it’s good to be with the boys again and back in a team environment.”

Joining Bowie is defenceman Aiden Reeves and he is no stranger to the Spruce Kings as he started the 19/20 season with the defending BCHL Champs.

“There is lots of similar faces around this year,” explained Reeves.

“Just comfortable. I know the plays. I know the forechecks and stuff so I don’t have to learn any new plays or stuff.”

Now that the two have been on the ice for almost a week with the Kings, they are both gearing up for their first exhibition game and both couldn’t be more excited to play their first competitive game since March 7.

The King’s next game is set for Saturday November 7 at the RMCA when they host the Merritt Centennials.
