High School sports have taken one of the biggest hits during the Covid-19 pandemic.

No team sports and barely any competitions.

High School football felt that pain right away as it was one of the first sports to be cancelled for the year.

However, Game Ready Elite was able to provide football players in Prince George a chance to continue to play the game they love and their 7 on 7 touch football season wrapped up Sunday with their Championship games.

” In order to give these kids somewhere to play, we took 7 on 7 and made a league. It has been going quite well. We’ve played a lot of games and we have been following proper social distancing and Covid-19 protocols,” shared Director of Game Ready Elite Craig Briere.

This includes plenty of hand washing and mask-wearing.

In the Freshman Final, the Junior Steelers earned a 21-7 win and the Varsity final saw the Steelers win a thrilling 35-31 game.
