Tree of Lights returning to PG, partnering in Fort St. John
PRINCE GEORGE — The top of the Coast Prince George Hotel will once again be lit up this holiday season as the United Way of Northern BC has announced the Tree of Lights will return for what the organization calls “a collective effort to bring the light of hope and joy in the face of the global crisis”. The 60-foot tree will arrive Thursday at approximately 11am.
“With this additional crisis of overdose in BC running parallel to the pandemic, we feel it an important yet often polarizing issue to stand up for across Northern BC,” said Trista Spencer, UWNBC Executive Director, in a statement.
She continued, “This opportunity to bring back the United Way Tree of Lights is two fold for us in that we get to bring attention to some critical issues, but we also have a wonderful way to connect the community in a time we feel so isolated from each other.”
