Possible COVID-19 exposure at Van Bien Elementary

PRINCE GEORGE — Northern Health is reporting two more possible COVID-19 exposure events at schools in northern B.C., including in Prince George.

The health authority says there was possibly an exposure event at Van Bien Elementary School between November 9 and 10 while the Peace River South District is reporting a possible exposure event on November 13 at Chetwynd Secondary School.

Van Bien is the fourth school with a possible COVID-19 exposure in Prince George.

Previous possible exposures occurred at Ron Brent Elementary on Oct.30, Immaculate Conception on Oct.21-23 and Prince George Secondary on Oct.2.

Northern Health says the possible exposures listed on their website are believed to be low risk but, out of an abundance of caution, Public Health asks anyone who may have visited any of the locations listed on the specified dates and times to monitor themselves for symptoms.
