Prince George woman wins 75K playing BC/49

PRINCE GEORGE — A Prince George woman is $75,000 richer after purchasing a winning BC/49 ticket.

The BC Lottery Corporation says Leah Fell bought the ticket on Sept. 26 at the 7-Eleven on Austin Road West and was at Superstore waiting to pickup her online grocery order when she decided to check her tickets at the gas bar.

“I scanned this one and thought there was something wrong, so I handed it to the retailer and said ‘I think there is error,'” said Fell.

“The retailer scanned it and told me there was nothing wrong, that I had won $75,000. I could not believe it!”

Fell plans to put her winnings toward a down payment on a house.
