Gang Enforcement Team returns to Prince George
PRINCE GEORGE — For the third time in as many months last weekend, the Combined Forces Special Enforcement Unit of British Columbia’s Uniform Gang Enforcement Team (UGET) paid Prince George a visit.
From Thursday Nov.26 to Saturday Nov. 28, the Prince George RCMP says UGET assisted local Mounties with targeting and disrupting drug trafficking groups responsible for the increased level of violence this fall.
Cpl. Craig Douglass says many checks on persons known to be involved in criminal activity were made resulting in the seizure of large amounts of methamphetamine, cocaine and fentanyl, along with thousands of dollars in cash and several weapons.
