PRINCE GEORGE — A pair of Prince George RCMP officers were injured during a traffic stop this weekend. Around 9:30pm on Sunday, December 6, police set up the stop in the 3700 block of Lansdowne Road for a believed prohibited driver.
One officer approached the vehicle when it sped up and struck the officer in the arm with the side mirror. A second RCMP officer attempted to block the suspect from leaving by moving their vehicle in front of the other, it was hit, and the suspect vehicle drove away. It was found a short time later abandoned. Neither officer injury was considered serious.
