Canada Post deadlines looming

PRINCE GEORGE – There is a deadline looming for your holiday parcels.

Canada Post says if you want a package to get somewhere else in Canada with regular post, you need to get it out the door and into Canada Post’s hands by Monday. For provincial regular mail, the deadline is between December 16th and 18th and for Express or Priority Post, the deadline is December 21st, regardless of whether it is within BC or Canada.

Letter Carrier Clark Rasmussen says they are delivering twice as much as they normally do because of COVID and all the online shopping people are doing. It means Canada Post has hired another four thousand people for the holidays and leased another 1,000 delivery vehicles.
