Expansion during COVID

PRINCE GEORGE – It seems like an unusual time to be spending money to expand a business at the height of a global pandemic.

But that’s exactly what one downtown restauranteur is doing.

Nancy O’s owner Eion Foley has snapped up the second side of the building his restaurant and is added 35 more seats in that addition.

“Essentially, we’re gonna be punching a hold in the wall over there to create an entrance to a new, private room, which will be used for parties in the future for about 30, 35 people,” says Co-Owner Eion Folley, referring to the wall that separates his current restaurant with the empty room adjacent. “In the meantime, for the time we have seating restrictions because of the pandemic, we’ll use it as regular seating for the time being.”

He says those additional seats will return his restaurant to the capacity Nancy O’s was prior to the pandemic.

Some might say he’s crazy for investing at this time.

“It might be a little bit crazy. Risky during the uncertain times. But I have faith that it will pay off in the long term.”
