PRINCE GEORGE β€” The COVID-19 outbreak at Jubilee Lodge continues.

Northern Health says ongoing monitoring and testing of staff and residents has identified additional lab-confirmed cases of the virus.

β€œTo date, there have been eight lab-confirmed cases among Jubilee Lodge residents, and four staff cases,” says the health authority.

Northern Health says communication with Jubilee Lodge staff, residents, and families is ongoing.

It adds enhanced control measures are in place which include increased screening for all staff and residents, enhanced cleaning and infection measures, the restriction of staff and resident movement and the temporary suspension of social visits.

Some good news though, as Northern Health is reporting that the precautionary outbreaks at UHNBC and Gateway Lodge have been declared over.

Northern Health says it continues to take steps to protect the health of staff and those they care for, with clear policies and procedures in place for COVID-19 infection prevention and control and reducing the risk of transmission to residents, staff and physicians.
