PRINCE GEORGE — The United Way of Northern BC’s Tree of Lights campaign has been deemed a success.

The non-profit confirming it surpassed its fundraising goals and raising $30,557.

The proceeds will go towards programming and supports around the drug abuse and overdose crisis.

“We have been trying to put into words the gratitude we have for the incredible generosity of this community and find that nothing seems to express how overwhelmed we truly feel about this remarkable achievement,” says Executive Director Trista Spencer.

“It’s a testament to the heart of Prince George, and Northern BC, and we are so honoured to be able to do the work we do to support those who need it most.”
