Prince George RCMP nab prolific offenders in Walmart parking lot

PRINCE GEORGE — Local Mounties have arrested two prolific offenders they consider as violent.

RCMP say it happened last Thursday afternoon when police noticed 22-year-old Thomas Toman and 26-year-old Justus Teasdale driving a stolen rental vehicle.

Police followed the pair to the Walmart Parking lot where they were apprehended.

Toman is facing the following charges:

  • Possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000
  • Unauthorized possession of a firearm in a motor vehicle
  • Unauthorized possession of a firearm
  • Possession of a weapon
  • Possession of a firearm contrary to prohibition order
  • Resisting arrest

Toman also had one outstanding warrant.

Teasdale is facing the following charges:

  • Possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000
  • Unauthorized possession of a firearm in a motor vehicle
  • Careless storage of a firearm
  • Possession of a weapon
  • Resisting arrest
  • Obstructing a police officer
  • Possession of a firearm contrary to a prohibition order

At the time of Teasdale’s arrest he had 10 outstanding warrants.

Both remain in custody while they await trial.

The investigation is ongoing.
