Cougars’ Cole Moberg signs professional tryout contract with AHL’s IceHogs
PRINCE GEORGE – Prince George Cougars’ defenceman Cole Moberg has signed a one-year professional tryout contract with the Rockford IceHogs in the American Hockey League.
In a release issued by the Cougars, General Manager and Head Coach Mark Lamb said this is a great opportunity for the D-man.
“His signing is a reflection of the hard-work and commitment he has put into getting himself ready for the next step.”
The 20-year-old was drafted by the Chicago Blackhawks in the 7th round, 194th overall, in the 2019 NHL Draft. The North Vancouver, BC product was the Cougars’ top-scoring defenceman in the 2019-20 season after he compiled 37 points (13g, 27a) in 58 regular-season games.
