PRINCE GEORGE – For the second year in a row, Kopar Administration LTD and a local Scouts Canada group have teamed up to build another round of Bunkhouses for its regional scouts’ campsites.

The Kopar will lead a free 12-week program that includes hands-on learning, to assist job seekers in developing skills needed in the construction industry while building bunkhouses for Scouts Canada camps.

The bunkhouse build project is a made in Prince George idea. Kopar Administration recognized the need for skilled construction workers in our region.

With the assistance of government funding, they designed a program to help the unemployed to obtain the skills needed to secure employment in the construction field by leading a program to build bunkhouses.

Last year Kopar Administration ran the same type of skill set program in which they built six bunkhouses.

The addition of new all-season bunkhouses will help replace some of the crumbling buildings currently at the camps.

Participants in the program will receive all the certificates needed to be site ready and skill sets that range from framing to installing insulation.

Individuals interested in taking part in the program can contact Kopar Administration to arrange an interview.
