Death toll at UHNBC’s Internal Medicine Unit grows to 8

PRINCE GEORGE — Three more people have died due to COVID-19 at UHNBC’s Internal Medicine Unit, bringing the death toll to eight.

To date, 21 patients and 12 staff have tested positive for COVID-19 since the outbreak was declared December 29.

Meantime the outbreak at the hospital’s rehab unit has been declared over while there have been no new cases of the virus at Jubilee Lodge since December 13. The outbreak at Jubilee Lodge has claimed 14 lives.
