PRINCE GEORGE — Update: RCMP Cst. Jennifer Cooper says one of the drivers involved in this morning’s crash has been airlifted to hospital in Vancouver while the other has been released from hospital.

“Investigators have determined that the vehicle heading northbound on Ospika Boulevard lost control coming out of a bend in the road and crossed the centre meridian, entering into southbound traffic where they collided with an oncoming vehicle,” she says.

The road has since reopened.

Earlier: Emergency crews are on the scene of a two-vehicle traffic incident at Ospika Boulevard and Range Road.

As a result, RCMP have shut down traffic on Ospika Boulevard between Davis Road and Range Road. The collision involved an SUV and a car and one person has suffered critical injuries.

Motorists are advised to use alternative routes at this time to avoid the area as emergency crews conduct their work.

Traffic will be closed in this area for the next few hours. No other information has been released at this time.
