Speeding semi clocked at 150 kilometres per hour
SMITHERS —The driver of a loaded semi-trailer had his vehicle impounded for seven days after he was caught speeding on Highway 16 last weekend.
BC RCMP Traffic Services says police clocked the semi going 150 km/h in a posted 100 km/h zone at approximately 2:10 a.m. Saturday morning on Highway 16, east of Smithers.
“The driver, a man from the Prince George area, was handed a $368 fine and three points on his license and the tractor was impounded for seven days,” says Cpl. Mike Halskov.
