PRINCE GEORGE – It has been almost a year since participating in amateur sports came to a grinding stop.

Recently, the folks at the Overhang, Northern Ice Sports, and PG Golf and Curling got their thinking caps on and created a COVID-friendly sports camp for youth who are looking to become active again.

This Friday is a day off for students that attend School District 57. Many of those youth will be looking for something to do.

Some of the tenants at the Golf and Curling facility present a sports camp that will keep covid fatigued minds active.

The camp is based on public health orders. There are 12 kids in each of the four cohorts. The groups rotate between sports throughout the day.

The PG golf and curling club have designed their portion of the sports camp for youth who have never tried the sport of curling.

Parents wanting to register their children in the one-day sports camp are asked to visit the Overhang website.
