Prince George – On Saturday afternoon, 30 to 40 people gathered on both sides of Ospika Boulevard to peacefully protest the current restrictions in B.C.

The rallies have been happening here in Prince George, over the last few weeks. Although, this weekend hosted less of a crowd, due to the holiday weekend. However, many folks who drove by honked and waved in solidarity with the crowd.

When CKPG spoke to people in the crowd, they expressed their concern and the fact that they are sick of how this pandemic is being handled, and, that current restrictions are not helping or stopping the virus.

” Two weeks to flatten the curve has been over a year now. and I think there is much evidence that, in Sweden and now Florida, Texas, South Dakota that restrictions aren’t doing anything.” Says Simon, who would only give his first name.” umm lockdowns definitely aren’t. The Swedes did [sic] a mitigation and we’re choosing to do a suppressive, that is out and we end up in the same spot. So what are we doing and not only that but with no end game we end up repeating this again. It’s just going to keep happening”
