Teacher in 100 Mile House charged in child exploitation investigation
100 MILE HOUSE — Mounties in 100 Mile House are seeking assistance in a child exploitation investigation involving a teacher at a local high-school.
RCMP say that on April 8, officers from the 100 Mile House RCMP arrested 33-year-old Vincent Collins of 100 Mile Ranch while on his way to work at Peter Skene Secondary School. Collins has been charged with one count of child exploitation, which is alleged to have occurred with a female youth.
Police say they learned of the allegations a day earlier and acted quickly on them.
“We have been closely engaged with the school administration and School District 27 who is supporting our investigation,” says S/Sgt. Svend Nielsen.
