Cousins scores twice, Spruce Kings beat Chiefs 5-2

PRINCE GEORGE — The Prince George Spruce Kings took the throne in the Chilliwack British Columbia Hockey League (BCHL) Pod.

Kolton Cousins led the way offensively with two goals in a 5-2 win over the Chilliwack Chiefs on Saturday (April 24). Captain Mason Waite along with Christian Buono and Andrew Seaman chipped in with two points each. Prince George outshot Chilliwack 45-18.

The Spruce Kings are first in the Chilliwack Pod standings with an 8-3-0-1 record, good for 17 points in 12 games. They lead the second-place Chiefs by one point with a game in hand.

Prince George looks to widen their lead Sunday (April 25) at 5 p.m. when they take on the Merritt Centennials.
