Ziemmer’s early double-puncher leads to Cats 5-2 rout of Giants
KAMLOOPS, BC – The Prince George Cougars got back into the win column on Sunday, beating the Vancouver Giants 5-2 at the Sandman Centre in Kamloops.
With the win, the Cougars extended their point streak to four games (3-0-1-0) and moved back to the .500 mark, as they are now 7-7-2-1 through 17 games.
It was a big night for Koehn Ziemmer, as the 16-year-old rookie scored twice inside the first six-minutes of the game and was named the first star. Craig Armstrong, Tyson Upper, and Blake Eastman also scored. Taylor Gauthier earned his fifth win as he stopped 29 of 31 shots.
