PRINCE GEORGE – The technology involved with making pills, tablets, or other prescribed drugs has changed a lot over the years.

What first started out as the ancient mortar and pestle is still around today, albeit a heavily modernized version than what scientists found from 35 000 BC in Asia.

Now the act of compounding has been made easier over the years with the EMP, essentially the electronic version of it.

Hart Drugs is the only pharmacy in Prince George to use the specialized mortar and pestle style done by hand, while other places will have it shipped in, there are good reasons why they still do it in-house.
