FORT ST. JOHN — A northern MP is blasting the Trudeau Liberals for driving away investment.

Prince George-Peace River-Northern Rockies Conservative MP Bob Zimmer blames the government for the announcement by Woodside Energy that it’s exiting the proposed Kitimat LNG project.

He says the departure comes just months after Chevron Canada made the decision to walk away from this project and argues it’s due to Liberal policies and practices that continue to drive investments and jobs out of Canada.

“We should be championing these projects. Instead, the Liberals have created a regulatory regime that is driving investment away and fails to protect the environment.
