TYH: How much daily physical activity is enough?

PRINCE GEORGE – Much of our time during COVID-19 has been walking, running, or even staying outside in many cases.

Health experts have been watching the trends of daily physical activity over the pandemic closely.

Results vary depending which country’s research you are looking at.

New Zealanders got moving more overall, while many in the US saw the opposite trend sharing concerns of possible childhood obesity effects in this study by the BMC.

Northern Health says getting active is easy to do and reccomends getting more than 30 minutes of physical activity every day.

Doing that, can be as easy as gardening, landscaping, running, or walking, but the possibility of activities is endless.

The more you move, the better it is for you, and it may just start with taking the stairs more often.
