PRINCE GEORGE – $411,000. That’s what Council approved to make improvements to the Playhouse Theatre. Back in December 2020, a major storm ripped off a portion of the stucco exterior, exposing a much larger problem with the building’s structure and the cladding.

A number of scenarios were presented to Council, but there was a reluctance to put too much money into the facility when its future is uncertain. So Council approved “band-aid” solution to get the repair the exterior and do upgrades to the rigging inside.
