School sports ‘likely’ to return in the fall according to health officials

PRINCE GEORGE – School sports have been on a long hiatus since the pandemic began. On Thursday, an announcement from the BC Government stated “Should the current encouraging progress continue, it is anticipated the restrictions on sports will no longer be required when the new school year begins.”
For Duchess Park Secondary School, they know what students have gone through all across the province as well as how important this announcement was.
I believe it’s a ray of light for all of our student-athletes.Hopefully, we can have the kids playing first and foremost. The main thing for everybody is that they just desperately want to be back playing sports they love, says Louise Holmes, Athletic Director, Duchess Park Secondary School.
