No new cases of COVID-19 in northern B.C.

VICTORIA — Eighty-seven new cases of COVID-19 in B.C., none up north.

Provincial Health Officer Dr. Bonnie Henry and Health Minister Adrian Dix says there are 1,119 active cases of the virus, with 109 people in hospital, 41 of whom are in intensive care.

Here’s the regional breakdown of new cases:

  • Vancouver Coastal Health: 13
  • Fraser Health: 30
  • Island Health: 3
  • Interior Health: 41
  • Northern Health: 0

A total of 77.2 per cent of all adults in BC and 75.8 per cent of those 12 and older have now received at least one dose of a vaccine.

In addition to that, 24.3 per cent of all adults and 22.7 per cent of those 12 and older have received their second dose.

Sadly there has been one more COVID-9 related death for a total of 1,744 in British Columbia.
