29 new cases of COVID-19 in B.C., zero in Northern Health

VICTORIA — Just 29 new cases of COVID-19 announced in British Columbia today.

Here’s the regional breakdown:

  • Vancouver Coastal Health: 7
  • Fraser Health: 7
  • Island Health: 3
  • Interior Health: 10
  • People who reside outside Canada: 2
  • Northern Health: 0

Provincial Health Officer Dr. Bonnie Henry and Health Minister Adrian Dix say active cases have dropped to 876. Of those people, 110 are in hospital, 34 of whom are in intensive care.

No new deaths with the death toll in B.C. remaining at 1,754.

Henry and Dix say that 78.3 per cent of all adults in B.C. and 77 per cent of those 12 and older have now received at least one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine. In addition, 31.6 per cent of all adults in B.C. and 29.5 per cent of those 12 and older have received their second dose.
