A day to Listen: Amplify Indigenous voices, while working together towards reconciliation

PRINCE GEORGE – You may have noticed something a little different over the radio today here in Prince George. That’s because every single Pattison Media station joined together to mark June 30 as A Day to Listen and Amplify Indigenous voices, while working towards reconciliation.

June 30 also marks the end of National Indigenous History Month, however, in light of the recent discoveries at unmarked graves in communities across the country, today represents more than just listening, it’s a reminder to keep the conversation going.

This all started with the Gord Downie & Chanie Wenjack Fund, their mission: to create a pathway towards reconciliation and to improve the lives of Indigenous people by building awareness, education, and connections between all Canadians.
