Prince George Cougar’s staff member selected for Women’s U-18 Summer Camp

PRINCE GEORGE – Mike Matthies, Athletic Therapist for the Cougars, will head east to Canada Olympic Park in Calgary, from July 29 to August 9.

Matthies will be the equipment manager for the National Women’s Under-18 Team (NEXTGEN) Summer Camp.

Matthies says, “it’s an incredible honour any time you can represent Canada in any capacity, so I’m looking forward to the experience.”

This will be Matthies’ fifth time doing work with Team Canada as he previously won gold as the equipment manager for the Canada U-18 Women’s Team at the 2018-19 IIHF World Junior Championships in Japan.
