QMJHL Veteran joins Spruce Kings
PRINCE GEORGE – The Spruce Kings have added some experience to their blueline crew.
The team announced on Wednesday (Aug. 4) defenceman Dylan Schives has joined the team for the 2021-22 BC Hockey League season.
“First off I’ve got to mention how excited I am to be in Prince George,” said Schives in a release issued by the team. “A good friend of mine played there, Lucas Vanroboys and he only had great things to say about the Spruce Kings. I also had great conversations over the phone with a lot of the hockey staff and they were all very good phone calls.”
A native of Tilbury, Ontario, the 5-foot-10 and 190-pound defender spent the 2020-21 season both with the Baie-Comeau Drakkar and the Quebec Remparts of the Quebec Major Junior League (QMJHL).
