PRINCE GEORGE – The air is a little crisper in the morning, the leaves are starting to change, winter is eagerly knocking on our door, and Environment Canada says we could see some chillier days over the next couple of weeks.

“The mid-range forecast for the second half of September, it is looking like a cooler trend,” explains Bobby Sekhon, Meteorologist with Environment Canada. “Right now we are going to have some systems coming in from the north, including bringing some cooler air down.”

With that in mind, and also remembering we live in the north, a reminder to those who may have some extra warm clothes lying around, to consider donating.

“The Salvation Army is always trying to be proactive and prepared for all seasonal changes,” says Major Neil Wilkinson of the Prince George Salvation Army. “We are always trying to forecast what the needs within the community and trying to get ahead of the curve when it comes to those seasonal changes.”
