752 new cases of COVID-19 in BC and 9 new deaths
VICTORIA — COVID-19 has claimed nine more lives in B.C.
It brings the provincial death toll since the pandemic began to 1,992.
The new deaths include:

* Vancouver Coastal Health: three

* Island Health: one
A total of 752 new cases of the virus province-wide, including 130 up north. The number of those double vaxxed continues to rise though, with 81.9% of eligible people 12 and older with both jabs.
There are 5,945 active cases of COVID-19 in the province and of the active cases, 350 individuals are in hospital and 136 are in intensive care. The remaining people are recovering at home in self-isolation.
From Sept. 28-Oct. 4, people not fully vaccinated accounted for 70.2% of cases and from Sept. 21-Oct. 4, they accounted for 77.6% of hospitalizations.
