COVID-19 claims four more lives in northern B.C.

PRINCE GEORGE — Nearly a quarter of all the 715 COVID-19 cases announced today were detected in Northern B.C.

On top of that, the virus has claimed four more lives, all of those people residents of the Northern Health region. It brings the provincial death toll to 2,096.

There are 4,965 active cases province-wide, with 377 people in hospital, 136 of whom are in intensive care.

From October 10-16, the BC Centre for Disease Control says 286 cases were detected in Prince George, that’s up from 284 from October 3-9.
