Gun report at Williams Lake school sparks lockdown; two teens arrested
WILLIAMS LAKE, B.C. — Two youths were arrested after the Williams Lake RCMP were called to an incident outside a local school involving a firearm which sparked a lockdown on Friday (Nov. 19) afternoon.
At around 12:15 p.m., frontline officers from Williams Lake RCMP were called to a report of a person with a gun outside Lake City Secondary School’s Columneetza campus.
The school and several other nearby schools were placed in a lockdown.
Officers and a police service dog conducted a thorough search of the area and found two loaded guns.
