Cougars comeback falls short in 4-3 loss to Tri-City
PRINCE GEORGE — A comeback attempt fell just short in the Prince George Cougars’ 4-3 loss at home to the Tri-City Americans.
After trailing 4-0 halfway through the game, Captain Jonny Hooker jammed the puck in net front on the power play to give Cougars life.
Ryker Singer and Hudson Thornton each scored in the third period to cut the deficit to one, but the Cougars’ final shots couldn’t get through.
“[The comeback] really didn’t matter, it was how we started the game,” We were skating uphill the first two periods. We had no chemistry, we couldn’t make a play,” Cougars General Manager and Head Coach Mark Lamb says. “They looked like the faster team, the better team. We did get back in it, but it certainly wasn’t good enough.”
