Arts allowed greater capacity

PRINCE GEORGE – There will be dancing in the streets for the arts community.

That’s because the Provincial Health Order to Northern Health has been amended for their benefit. Prior to now, indoor arts performances were only allowed 50 people into their shows, regardless of the size of the venue. That was in stark contrast to the fifty percent capacity that was allowed to indoor sporting events, like hockey games.

Now indoor arts performances are afforded the same capacity as sporting events. Fifty percent.

“And that includes funerals, weddings, theatre arts performance events,” said Dr. Bonnie Henry, Provincial Health Officer. “And I know that some of these were restricted to a much lower number in the past. These changes will come into effect, starting tomorrow with the use of the BC vaccine card.”
