Snowfall system in BC’s coast expected to impact Prince George area

Dec 6, 2021 | 2:19 PM

PRINCE GEORGE- The Prince George area could see 5 cm of snowfall starting late tonight, followed by a couple more centimeters on Tuesday afternoon. Geoff Coulson, Warning Preparedness Meteorologist with Environment Canada says the area west of PG is expected to be hit by the snowfall first, which should start around midnight. 20 to 40km/h winds are also expected for the PG area tomorrow morning.

Coulson notes that because a system is expected for western BC, the situation may change and a special weather advisory for the PG area could be issued. He urges residents to stay up to date with Environment Canada.

The system has caused winter storm watches for Stewart, Terrace and Kitimat.
