PRINCE GEORGE – Volunteers with the Spruce City Wildlife Association were recognized this week for spearheading an initiative known to clean up the backcountry.

Spruce City Wildlife has been a non-profit group in our area that aims to protect wildlife, wildlife corridors and has maintained the newest fish hatchery in western Canada for the last forty years.

This week the group was given a Special Recognition Award from the Conservation Officer Service for their effort since 2016 in cleaning up illegal dumpsites.
