PRINCE GEORGE – It would have been easy for the Northern Capitals to get down on their luck, but instead they persevered and ended on a high note at the Mandi Schwartz Memorial Tournament in Wilcox, Saskatchewan.

After dropping both of their opening day games against the host Notre Dame Hounds (0-6) and the Red Deer Sutter Fund Chiefs (0-2), the Caps rallied and one three straight to wrap up the tournament.

On Day 2, the Northern Capitals took control of Kelowna’s RINK Academy 4-1.

Finishing the Round Robin playing out of the B Division, the girls from Northern BC took on the Saskatoon Stars, doubling up on them and coming away with a 4-2 victory.

It’s not the way the Cariboo Cougars wanted to go into the Christmas break.
