De-icing equipment repaired at YXS
PRINCE GEORGE – The pressure from a logjam of air travellers trying to get in or out of Prince George can now start to be alleviated.
“We have been advised that a replacement part has been installed in the de-icing truck at YXS and we are currently able to de-ice the aircraft,” stated Chrisie Berry, Manager of Community Relations at YXS.
De-icing equipment at the Prince George Airport (YXS) broke down on Saturday, and repairs were not able to be completed on-site. At the time, a part was ordered from Ontario, and a replacement de-icing truck was sent on its way from the Lower Mainland while travellers faced serious delays and cancellations throughout the weekend.
