SKI HILL VACCINE

Skiers only need vaccine passports inside ski lodge, not on hill

PRINCE GEORGE– Vaccine Passports have become the new normal in B.C. However, when talking about something like Ski-Hills,an outdoor activity, it can get a bit confusing.

The policy for ski hills set by Northern Health is that when skiing on the hills or buying passes for the lift you don’t need to show your vaccine passport. It’s when you are inside the lodge, eating, and socializing where the passport will need to be shown.

And that is exactly what the Hart Ski Hill has done.

Northern Health also says even though the restrictions are in place, it’s really up to the ski hill on whether they want to implicate a vaccine passport to buy a lift pass or rent gear, as long as the passport is implemented for a restaurant or food establishment and they have a covid safety plan in place.

Even though the most recent restrictions didn’t affect the Hart Ski Hill directly they’re are still doing their best to keep skiers safe.

The new health restrictions will be in place until January 18th where B.C. will assess the situation and make changes as needed.
