Vaccination capacity doubles in Prince George as clinic returns to Civic Centre
PRINCE GEORGE- Northern Health is doubling the capacity for COVID-19 vaccinations in Prince George. The health authority is adding additional clinic days each week and returning to the Prince George Conference and Civic Centre for expanded clinic space.
Residents are advised that between Friday, January 7, and approximately 9:00 am Tuesday, January 11, appointments between January 12 and 29 will not be available to book in the Get Vaccinated booking system, either online or by phone. The booking pause is required as the additional appointment capacity is added to the system. No previously scheduled appointments are impacted by the booking pause.
When booking resumes on Tuesday, Prince George residents will have access to the significantly increased number of available appointments throughout January, often within days of booking. Residents can now book for an appointment beyond January 29 or wait until earlier appointments become available on Tuesday. As of the week of January 17, clinics in PG will be able to administer around 1,000 doses each day.
Individuals with previously booked appointments should look closely at their appointment reminder notification for confirmation of their clinic location. For the most up-to-date information on current schedules, visit the Northern Health website.
