Northern Health lifts booking pause on vaccine appointments after one day
PRINCE GEORGE — A brief pause on booking COVID-19 vaccine appointments is no longer in effect in Northern Health.
In a news release Saturday (Jan. 8) morning, Northern Health says the additional capacity is now available for upcoming Prince George vaccine clinics at the PG Conference and Civic Centre. Appointments can be made through the B.C. government’s Get Vaccinated system.
The update comes one day after Northern Health told residents that a booking pause would last until Tuesday morning (Jan. 11), meaning appointments between Jan. 12 and 29 would not be available. Northern Health says no previously scheduled appointments were impacted by the booking pause.
Additionally, Northern Health is putting out a call for qualified healthcare workers to provide COVID-19 immunizations and support at immunization clinics throughout the region.
