Over 1,100 active COVID-19 cases in Northern Health

NORTHERN BC- The province tallied 2,859 new cases of COVID-19 including 195 up north. The number of people hospitalized in BC due to the virus has reached 500. Of those people, 102 are in intensive care.

BC’s active case count is now 36,641. Meanwhile, Northern Health’s active case count continues to climb as the region now has 1, 139 active.

Six new deaths were reported in BC, bringing the provincial death toll to 2,455. One of the new deaths was in the north. 246,693 British Columbians who tested positive have since recovered.
