Jan 13, 2022 | 2:04 PM
NORTHERN BC- Pregnant British Columbians can now book a COVID-19 booster vaccination if it has been at least eight weeks since their second dose.
Eligible residents must indicate that they are pregnant when they call the Get Vaccinated system to receive an invite to book an appointment. Anyone who isn’t already registered can do so online, by phone, or at a Service BC Centre. Approximately 1,800 people have already stated that they are pregnant and will automatically receive an invitation.
According to the province, booster shots are recommended six months after a second dose. However, it is important for pregnant women to receive their booster during pregnancy to ensure optimal protection for them and their baby.
